Darryl CohenChiropodist and Clinic Director
Registered with The College of Chiropodists of Ontario, Darryl Cohen has been in practice for 21 years. He was an Executive Member of the South African Podiatry Association (1999-2003). He held a position on the Executive committee of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists from 2003-2010, serving as President for 3 years. He has special interests in sports injuries; diabetic foot care; biomechanics of the lower limb; pediatric foot care and custom made orthotics. He consults to The Unite HERE Wellness Centres in the GTA, providing services to members of Local 75 and their families, consults to The Sports Injury Rehab Centres and runs successful private clinics in Thornhill and North York where they use the latest technology in the prescription and measuring for custom made orthotics.
In his spare time he enjoys running, playing soccer and squash, and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
Lester is a registered chiropodist in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. He is a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and the Ontario Society of Chiropodists.
After completing his Bachelor of Science, Honours degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario, Lester went on to study Chiropody at The Michener Institute where he completed internships at various public and private clinics, such as the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Hospital. Lester has also completed a number of courses geared toward athletic therapy at York University. Additionally Lester spent two months in 2011 volunteering as an EMT in Israel.
Lester continues to educate himself in the newest and most effective lines of treatment by regularly attending seminars and conferences for healthcare professionals. It is his belief that prevention and being pro-active is the key to receiving the best treatment and will lead to the greatest outcomes.
Rachel completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario with an honours specialization in Health Sciences. She studied at The Michener Institute in Toronto and completed her training at many of the major hospitals in Toronto including St. Michael's Hospital and Women's College Hospital wound clinics as well as various Community Health Centres around the GTA. She is currently registered and in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
Rachel currently practices part time at the Women's College Hospital Foot Care Centre and has special interest in biomechanics and offloading as well as diabetic wound care. In her spare time she enjoys pottery, painting and exercising.
