Laser for Nail Fungus

On the way to clearer nails today

As with other conditions, we offer our patients an array of treatments for nail fungus such as nail debridement, mediactions and laser treatments. Individuals with a family history, increasing age, poor health, nail trauma, exposed to warm or moist environments are more prone to receiving the nail infection. Nail fungus should be taken seriously because it can lead to permanent nail defect. This defect can interfere with daily activities such as walking, wearing shoes, and participating in sports. Early signs and symptoms such as a buildup of skin pieces and nail fragments under the nail, brittle, broken, and thickened nail, and damaged brown or gray nail surface can indicate the start of a nail infection. If these symptoms are noticed, treatment should be followed quickly to reduce any further development of the fungus.

Nail fungus is found under and inside of the nail, making treatment a complicated process. However, at Foot Institute we offer our patients an effective treatment using the PinPointe™ FootLaser™ treatment. This method involves directing invisible laser energy into and through the nail. The pigment in the nail fungus absorbs this laser light allowing it to heat up. As this heat increases, the fungal organisms are damaged or killed.

The PinPointe™ FootLaser™ treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, and patients will only feel the warmth, However, we are capable of reducing or ending the treatment is our patient feels any form of discomfort..  This procedure requires no anesthesia and can be performed at our very own clinic. 71% of patients experienced incredible results and improvements within 1 year after their laser treatment. It should be noted to all patients that results vary amongst patients due to individual conditions.  Moreover, results are shown after nails are grown out, which take about 4-12 months. We have our credible  Chiropodists always here to address any questions or concerns. Book an appointment to receive your PinPointe™ FootLaser™ treatment and get those happy feet moving!
